South East Construction successfully completed a structural steel repair project at the Nutrien Rocanville Mine in support of the 2025-2026 Mill Structural Integrity program. The work included coordinated steel repairs following blasting and coating activities in active processing areas, with a focus on critical columns and primary structural members. SEC provided full-service support including on-site fabrication, material supply, installation, quality control, and comprehensive project management. A key and highly complex component of the project was an integrated column identification and repair development process, where SEC’s team conducted detailed walkdowns of all columns to assess conditions, identify required repairs, and collaborate with the owner and engineering teams through the RFI process to develop and confirm repair details. This approach allowed repairs to be efficiently prioritized and executed as conditions were discovered in the field. The project was delivered in a highly regulated operating environment, demonstrating SEC’s ability to manage evolving scope, technical complexity, and tight coordination requirements while maintaining alignment with stringent quality and operational standards.
